Create Layer is a protocol built to consolidate the important steps of a creator’s journey into on-chain lego-like modules.
Create Layer wanted to position themselves as this new, simple tech that is going to change everything! Hence, we approached it with the nostalgia of being introduced to a completely new technology – and hence we turned towards that retro computer, old internet-core, pixelated screens aesthetic.
They wanted a character that is 1. Very memeable 2. Very adorable 3. Goes with their brand.
So we made this adorable cat that’s made up of blocks! Much like the Create logo. Embracing the look and feel of a simpler time. Making it infinitely customisable. We created tons of memes with Picatso too, proving our hypothesis of creating a character so simple yet recognisable that it can make any meme yours.
